May Day is lei day in Hawaii. For many years, there has been a tradition of celebrating the beautiful flowers that are sewn into incredible lei.
For thirty years, there was also a tradition of the Brothers Cazimero Lei Day concert at the Waikiki Shell. Last year, they announced that their 30th would be their last May Day Concert. No one believed them ... how could they NOT have a Lei Day Concert at the Shell?
By not having one. Whatever they are doing tomorrow, it is not a lei day concert at the shell. So many of us will miss it -- wonderful music and dance, the moon rising over Diamond Head ...
But tomorrow is still Lei Day in Hawaii. Happy May Day everyone!
