On the North Shore mean that the Eddie Aikau might happen this year after all. A newscaster said that waves have to have faces of 30-40 feet, so tomorrow's predicted waves of 15-25 may be too small for anything other than the opening ceremony.
That being said, the opening ceremony is always a good thing -- and the opportunity to stage "The Eddie" runs through February 2009.

Coming to Hawaii to see the Eddie is the treat of a lifetime. Then you can stop by
Lanikai Bath and Body on your way back to Waikiki. Both made in Hawaii. Naturally.
