Put the Pine(apple) in the Coconut...
Pineapple and coconut feature in one of Hawai'`'s favorite drinks, the Chi Chi. Essentially a Pina Colada with Vodka instead of rum.
Any way you taste it, feel it or smell it, it is obvious these two tropical favorites were meant to be partners.
As winter is chasing you down, refresh yourself with the memory of summer, and lather up with Lanikai Bath and Body's Pineapple Coconut lotion.
While you're waiting for your package to arrive, whip up a Chi Chi and relax -- here's a recipe from about.com OR buy a pina colada mix and get out the vodka. Forget the blue curacao.
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup ice
* 2 oz vodka
* 1/2 oz blue curaƧao
* 1/2 oz cream of coconut
* 1/2 cup fresh or canned pineapple
* scoop of vanilla ice cream
* chunk of pineapple for garnish
Preparation:
1. Pour all ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour into a chilled margarita or highball glass.
4. Garnish with the pineapple.
If the mix turns out too thick add juice; too thin add ice or ice cream.

What's a Poi Dog anyway?
A mixed breed in Hawaii is a poi dog. We all love our dogs because of their loyalty, honesty and because they make us feel so good. Poi dog or not, a shampoo with Poi Dog makes them feel good, too!Our Island Mango dog shampoo is all natural, lightly scented and gentle. Your best friend will love it... and so will you! Picture here is Paisley with her very own Poi Dog!

Love Your Loofah!
Lanikai Bath and Body's loofah soaps are so popular we can barely keep them in stock.
In a variety of onolicious scents -- including gardenia, pikake, coconut lime verbena
(and more) --- the soap itelf encapsulates a natural loofah, so it is a body soap and and exfoliant in one.
If you haven't tried them yet, we hope you will!

How Green is Your Tea?
Our Green Tea lotion, wash, and body butter are not green, but they are super-luscious and perfectly scented.
Our Green Tea scrub is somewhat green, having bits of green tea in it.
Healing Green Tea with Coconut, Avocado oil and Shea butter. A creamy light texture that's easy to spread over your hands and body. Helps with dry and aging skin and helps youthful skin stay young and healthy. (Paraben Free, of course.)
We strongly recommend it -- take a bath with Lanikai's Green Tea and relax with
a cup of green tea!
Victoria Saves the Day!
Looking the very picture of a soap fairy, Victoria came to our rescue when we had no
one to work the store on Saturday (the 9th). She joined Dave, and they welcomed
customers all day long.
Victoria is usually Dave's ShaveIce Barista at Shorebreak Shave Ice, but both of them
took the day off from shaving ice to help us at Lanikai!
So, because of them, we sold plenty of plumeria, orchid vanilla, lavender and lavender salts and many, many more perfectly scented luxurious pieces of Hawai`i.
Mahalo Nui Loa, Dave and Victoria!

Hot october
In the old days, days gone by, it was never hot in October. I promise you, it it now the hottest month of the year
Just got back from visiting friends on the east coast and they all had Lanikai product in their bath and guest room. Cool!
The leaves had not started to turn yet in the East, and they pretty much never turn here. Instead the air is ripe with incredible scents, including and especially the plumeria lei which Ian brought to me at the airport. He is always so aware of the traditions of aloha.
Coincidentally, Plumeria has long been one of the favorites at Lanikai Bath and Body... With everyone! Plumeria is the principal lei the statue of Kamehameha is draped with on his birthday. Plumeria greets visitors on ships and planes ... And in Lanikai Bath and Body.
Sherry, returning from Washington state after five years, said the store "smelled like Hawai"
We agree.
